Recently, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission announced that "The Next generation of Smart Logistics Decision Support Platform" led by Prof. Xin Yao from Department of Computer Science and Engineering of SUSTech was officially selected as the first batch of Peacock Team List in 2017 and became the first research team supported Peacock Team in CSE. In response to the significant demand for smart logistics technology in Shenzhen, the research team aims to build a precise large-scale logistics network service platform based on artificial intelligence and big data.

"The Next generation of Smart Logistics Decision Support Platform" led by the Director of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SUSTech, Chair Professor Xin Yao. Team members have achieved world leading scientific and technological achievements in many fields such as artificial intelligence, intelligent optimization, big data analysis, software engineering and service computing. Professor Xin Yao is a National Thousand Talent Plan Scholar, the Ministry of Education Cheung Kong Scholar, IEEE Fellow and won the IEEE CIS Evolutionary Computation Pioneer Award, the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award and other international academic awards. He was selected as 2016 Thomson Reuters global high-cited scholars (only 127 scholars have been selected globally). Professor Yao's main research areas include intelligent optimization, machine learning, big data analysis and smart logistics, especially in the areas of constrained optimization, multi-objective optimization, dynamic optimization, integrated learning and scheduling problems .
