On March 10, 2017, The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has held the review meeting for Bachelor's Degree majored in Computer Science and Technology successfully. The department of CSE has invited 5 prestigious experts in the area of Computer Science and Technology to evaluate bachelor’s degree granting.

The experts who were invited the review meeting include IEEE fellow, Professor and Dean of College of Automation Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology Li Qingyuan; National 1000 Talents, leading talent in Guangdong Province, Director and Professor of Advanced Computing and Digital Engineering Research Institute at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences Xu Chengzhong; Professor of Tsinghua University, Director of Institute of Computer Science and Technology at Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University Xia Shutao; Professor and Director of School of Computing at  South China Normal University Tang Yong; Professor and Director of Research Department at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, National 10,000 Talents Liu Hong. 

This review meeting included professional report, discussion between teachers and students, field visit, expert feedback and so on. Professor Xin Yao, Director of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SUSTech welcomed everyone first, and then Professor Hao Qi, Deputy Director of CSE made a clear and concrete report about the professional building to the experts and answered the questions. After field visit and discussion, the experts made feedback and suggestions based on the current condition of professional development and building.

The experts agreed that our department was qualified to grant the bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology major and thought highly of our department, “CSE focuses on cultivating international talents, promoting the construction of teaching staff as well as teaching environment and achieved remarkable success. It meets the requirement for conducting of Computer Science and Technology major.” Meanwhile, the experts also gave us some constructive advice.
