Duration of Study

The basic duration of study for full-time general doctoral students is 3 to 4 academic years (the regular duration is 4 academic years), and the maximum duration of study is 6 academic years.

The basic duration of study for full-time direct doctoral students is 4 to 5 academic years (the regular duration is 5 academic years), and the maximum duration of study is 7 academic years.

The basic duration of study for full-time master-doctoral consecutive students (including the master’s stage) is 5 to 6 academic years, and the maximum duration of study is 7 academic years.

Educational Objectives

The education of engineering masters and doctors aims to cultivate reserve talents of outstanding engineers who love the Party, serve the country and dedicate themselves to their careers. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, it consolidates basic theories, strengthens systematic thinking, improves engineering practice ability, practical innovation ability and engineering management ability, enhances awareness of sustainable development, humanistic literacy and international vision, and encourages active participation in major national engineering construction.

Objectives of Doctoral Program in Electronic Information

In close alignment with major national strategic needs in the electronic information industry, the program aims to cultivate high-level application-oriented future leading talents in the electronic information field with strong political integrity, solid basic theoretical foundations, outstanding professional and technical competence, strong capability in engineering and technological innovation, and excellence in solving complex engineering and technical problems.

Specific requirements are as follows:

(1) Uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, love the motherland, abide by the law and discipline, possess a strong sense of social responsibility in serving the country and the people, good professional ethics and entrepreneurial spirit, a rigorous scientific attitude toward learning and a pragmatic work style, and maintain physical and mental health.

(2) Master a solid and broad theoretical foundation and systematic in-depth specialized knowledge in the field of electronic information; be capable of independently solving complex engineering and technical problems, conducting engineering and technological innovation, and organizing research and development in engineering and technology; have a broad international vision; and make innovative contributions to the development of electronic information-related industries and engineering technologies.
