2017 Higher Education Teaching Reform Projects By Three Teachers From Department of CSE have been approved
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SUSTech takes teaching and cultivating talents as responsibility, constantly improving the quality of teaching, and actively participating in education reform activities. Recently, Vice director of CSE Prof. Hao Qi, got a school-level educational reform project "Integration of Machine Learning and Intelligent Robot Teaching Reform and Exploration”, which has been approved and recommended as provincial-level education reform project ( only 5 in SUSTech ). Besides, the reform projects by CSE Assistant Professor Zhang Jin and Assistant Professor Wang Qi “Reform and Exploration of "Computer Network" Curriculum Combining Cloud Intelligent Hardware" and" Innovation and Practice of Computer Theory Teaching" were approved as school-level teaching projects. Prior to this, three teachers have made some remarkable achievements in teaching. Associate Professor Hao Qi recently won the title of "2017 Shenzhen Advanced Educator" (2017 SUSTech’s only awardee). Assistant Professor Zhang Jin won the “ SUSTech 2017 Excellent Tutor Award" and the 2016 “SUSTech Outstanding Teaching Award", "Excellent Tutor Award" and "Young Teacher Teaching Competition Award." Assistant Professor Wang Qi won the “SUSTech 2017 Excellent Teaching Award" and the "Excellent Tutor Award" of SUSTech in 2016.

Background:
In 2017, the recommendation work for the reform of Higher Education Project in Guangdong Province was organized by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, aiming to deepen the reform of higher education and guide teachers to base on teaching practice in schools, conduct problem-oriented research in depth, foster outstanding teaching achievements and enhance personnel training quality.
